Persistent LH elevation with an increased LH/FSH ratio and adrenal androgen excess (↑ DHEAS) are well-documented biochemical features of polycystic ovary syndrome [Taylor, 2000, PMID 11117670; Moran, 2015, PMID 25514100]. Hyperprolactinemia, however, is neither common nor considered characteristic; studies show prolactin levels are usually normal and are no higher than in women without PCOS [Szosland, 2015, PMID 25789595].
