Weight loss, postural (orthostatic) hypotension and even fever are well-described manifestations of cortisol (glucocorticoid) deficiency or an adrenal crisis [Nieman & Turner, 2006, PMID 16828409; Husebye et al., 2021, PMID 33484633]. Hyperkalemia, however, results from loss of aldosterone (mineralocorticoid) action and does not occur with isolated glucocorticoid deficiency [Priest et al., 1976, PMID 1250809].
