Carbamazepine is a well-recognized trigger of severe cutaneous adverse reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis [Xu, 2021, PMID 33908133]. In contrast, it has documented cases of agranulocytosis (so A is false) [Cambon, 1999, PMID 10427389], produces little nephrotoxicity (C is characteristic of lithium), and therapeutic drug–level monitoring is recommended because of its narrow therapeutic range and auto-induction (making D false).
