GenPortrait
GenPortrait is a tool for visualizing characteristics of the oligonucelotide frequency for an input genome sequence. An input file can contain several sequences. Therefore, metagenomics data with lots of fragment sequences in a file can be handled.
You can :
- generate the genome portrait of your sequence, view and download the results.
- search against the precomputed portraits of over 600 genomes to find genomes with a similar protraits.
- upload multiple sequence files and compute the distance between them. For this purpose, submit the files and go to "Comparison" in the menu above.
Currently, the server only accepts a sequence of less than 2M bytes. To generate a meaningful portrait, a sequence longer than 10K nt is recommended. The file needs to be a DNA sequence in the fasta format. a Zipped file(.zip, .gz, .Z...) is allowed.
